Our Vision
To be a trusted centre of nursing education in Azad Jammu & Kashmir, preparing nurses who serve their communities with knowledge, care and excellence.
A private college in Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, established to educate professional nurses through the BS Nursing (Generic) programme.
MCN – Muzaffarabad College of Nursing (Pvt.) Limited is a private nursing college located on Srinagar Road, adjacent to Tulip Marquee, in Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
The college teaches one programme: the four-year BS Nursing (Generic) degree. By concentrating on a single programme, MCN can give its full attention to the teaching, supervision and professional formation that nursing students need.
The first academic session is Fall 2026-27. Men and women who meet the eligibility criteria can apply.

To be a trusted centre of nursing education in Azad Jammu & Kashmir, preparing nurses who serve their communities with knowledge, care and excellence.
To provide sound, ethical and student-centred nursing education that joins classroom knowledge with supervised clinical practice, and to develop graduates who are safe practitioners, clear communicators and lifelong learners.
Nursing is learned in three places: the classroom, the laboratory and the clinical setting. Each one matters. Students first need a firm grounding in the sciences and in nursing theory. They then need to practise skills until they can perform them safely. Finally, they need to care for real patients under supervision.
We believe that good nursing education is honest about standards. Students should know what is expected of them, be assessed fairly and receive feedback they can act on. A nurse's knowledge affects patients directly, so there is no place for shortcuts.
We also believe that character is part of competence. How a nurse speaks to a frightened patient, keeps a confidence or admits a mistake is as important as any procedure.
Commitment to nursing education. Nursing is the only discipline taught at MCN, and it receives the whole attention of the college.
Student development. Students are expected to grow in knowledge, in practical skill and in professional conduct through regular teaching, guidance and assessment.
Academic standards. Attendance, preparation and honest work are expected in every course, and assessment is carried out under the rules of the programme.
Professional values. Respect for patients, confidentiality, teamwork and accountability are treated as part of the curriculum, not as an addition to it.
Three words that describe the nurse MCN aims to educate.
A sound understanding of nursing and the health sciences, kept up to date throughout a nursing career.
Careful, kind and respectful attention to the needs, safety and dignity of every patient.
High standards in study, in clinical skill and in professional conduct, with no shortcuts.
